I got the Half Life bundle for about 5 dollars during the Steam Winter Sale, and the package contains everything-half life. I'm about to finish Half Life, and I am still confused as to why there is Episode One and Two, but also Half Life 2. Does it come with both?
To my knowledge, the HL1:EP1 game files should be located in Half-Life 2 folder if you go to Steam > SteamApps > Common, but the only two folders I see relating to episodic content is "ep2" and "episodic" neither of which contains many of the types of files/folders that regular Half-Life 2 has. Not as far as I know anyway.

Either way, Half-life 1 is free thanks to its 25th anniversary , go get it! Yeah i got the half life 1 and now i want to buy the half life 2,i saw that pack but it's include a lot of other "games" (i dont know if are spin offs or something like that) that i will never play so i want to get only the HF1 and HF2

All you need to do is click the little controller icon at the bottom-right of the main menu and select from which Titles you want content to appear. If you're already in a game, you may need to reload for the changes to take affect. #1. Lucidus May 9, 2013 @ 5:43pm. I would be extremely grateful if someone did that, Half-Life is in dire need of a chapter select. It's too much work for me to type in multiple console commands, and I don't feel like loading up other people's saves, since the "load game" system is just a mess, in my opinion. If anybody has anything to say about this, please comment down below. 4. Second, I know that this isn't an official Valve document by any means, but it does help illustrate why Half-Life 2: Episode 3 doesn't exist yet. Half-Life and Half-Life 2 were both genre-defining
\n \ndoes half life 2 include both episodes
Mr. Feb 7, 2013 @ 11:06am. because lost coast is not a episode. you have. Half Life 2. Half Life 2 Episode 1. Half Life 2 Episode 2. Lost coast is just a part from half life 2 that was not used, i think it was supposed to be in after or before highway 17. Last edited by Mr. ; Feb 7, 2013 @ 11:10am. #2.
While sadly not an official Valve product, it is in fact the next version of the excellent Half-Life 2: Update mod from the same team – which will presumably include all the Episode DLC too.
The cheat codes in Half-Life 2 need to be inserted via the console. To enable the console, open up the Options menu, go to Keyboard > Advanced and check the "Enable developer console" option. For Simply put, it is not really Half-Life 2. The levels aren't remotely the same and don't even play the same. It doesn't look, sound or feel like it in any way. It's a completely different experience which should be judged on its own terms but never regarded as superior in any way to the original. Becasue i have more questions than answers. I know its not finished, but I dont understand whats going on in this world or Multiverse. Im lost :) You should play Black Mesa instead. It's a remastered Half Life 1. no, black mesa is pretty different when compared to hl1, play hl1 first and then play black mesa if you want. #6.
Added that and made the appropriate changes here and there. Introductions [2.0.0.0] About the Game [2.1.0.0] Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is a bonus chapter for Half-Life 2. Anyone who owns a copy of Half-Life 2 can get it for free on Steam (yes, this does include The Orange Box, however you aren't eligible if you were gifted the game).

Kelly Bailey composed numerous short pieces of original incidental music that are interspersed throughout Half-Life 2. Several tracks from the Half-Life soundtrack were re-titled and carried over, while some were remixed. The limited-edition Half-Life 2 "Gold" package included, among other exclusive extras, a CD soundtrack. Although the CD contained several exclusive tracks, it did not include 2004's Half-Life 2 was a landmark for PC gaming and the First Person Shooter, setting the standard for immersion, animation, and physics-based play for years. Meticulously developed by Half-Life community member Filip Victor, Half-Life 2: Update offers both long-time fans and first time players the most visually advanced, stable, and fully
Players have an FOV preference, people like Tyler McVicker get motion sick when their FOV is low in any games, and that doesn't just only include Half-Life 2. That applies to games like Halo, Bioshock, effectively any game that begins with low FOV. Hmmm. Weird. This game does make people nausea for the FOV.
Black Mesa (mod)Black Mesa tagline, a nod to Half-Life’s original tagline Black Mesa, previously known as Black Mesa: Source, is a fan-made remake of the original Half-Life. The ultimate goal of the mod is to recreate the original Half-Life from the ground up, using the advanced capabilities of the Source engine to create a new and more engrossing in-game world with more varied, complex
I remember buying episode 1 and then 2, and waited years for episode 3. Is this Half Life 2 actually the full game including all the episodes? And if so how many episodes did they make?

Valve's games made prior to Left 4 Dead all include the Half-Life 2 Shared Files. One of my old answers breaks down how the GCF files were laid out for TF2 specifically. There are 2,722.83MB taken up by shared files, including the multiplayer ob binaries.gcf file, which would include the version of hl2.exe used by all of Valve's older
