It is a FPS, FPS always work better with Keyboard and Mouse. When it comes to games it is always best to use the controls that are superior for that type of game. for FPS that superior control is always the keyboard/mouse. I've only played Far Cry 2, blood dragon, and about 5 hours of 3 so I'm not speaking from tons of experience. But I feel like a Far Cry set in Vietnam, WW2, the USSR, the American Civil War, or the wild west would be a lot more interesting than another Far Cry set on another tropical island/country. 5 seems to have the most interesting setting

So I wanted to play Far Cry 3 but the game runs not good. I have an RX 5700XT and a Ryzen 5 3600. On max settings the game gets below 75fps a lot of the time and on high settings it still gets below 75 fps. Also 4 might be cheaper by the time you come to play it. If you can only play one, then I'd say 4 was the better game overall. They are all flawed.

I’ve never replayed a far cry more than far cry 2, it was awesome so that one is my favourite. 3,4 and 5 were also good, they were very similar. Far cry 6 just didn’t improve on 5 for me, I actually think it was less enjoyable. New dawn was a nice change, incorporating the new styles of assassins creed games and carrying on from the end of 5.
