C6A6's have a timing chain. I have a 2005 A6 4.2, and I'm trying to find out if this car has a timing belt or a timing chain. The maintenance booklet does not mention any thing about replacing the timing belt at any maintenance interval. I called different Audi dealers about this and got mixed responses: some said the car has a timing belt
